PRESS RELEASE
Data Recovery Company Relocates to Frisco
DFW Computer Investigations (DFWCI) moves to larger quarters in Frisco.
DFWCI, originally a sister business to The Computer Wizard (TCW), has relocated from their office in Plano, to better service their growing client base in north Collin and Denton counties.
Founded by Warren Harris in 2006, and operated inside the TCW facility in Plano until March of this year, DFWCI, specializes in recovering data from all manner of data storage devices, including hard drives, memory media, camera memory, mobile phones and optical disks. In addition to data recovery, Mr. Harris, a Texas Certified Investigator, also performs computer forensics for numerous legal cases each year. In his capacity as an Investigator, Mr. Harris recovers evidence in support of cases involving divorce, child custody and corporate malfeasance.
Mr. Harris sold his interest in The Computer Wizard in April 2010 and moved his Data Recovery lab just up the road to Frisco. After nearly 16 years of running the day-to-day operations at TCW, Warren felt he wanted to be closer to home and have more time to devote to his family and photography. As a result, the new lab also houses a full commercial photography studio, just north of Main Street - Conveniently located next door to Giovanni's Restaurant - on Preston Road.
Operating by appointment only, DFW Computer Investigations can be reached at:

July 7, 2006: Computer Investigation firm spins-off from The Computer Wizard
The Computer Wizard (Plano, Texas) is spinning-off their data recovery and digital forensics unit into a stand-alone business.
DFW Computer Investigations (www.dfwci.com) will, for the time being, operate out of the same offices as The Computer Wizard in Plano. Future plans may include relocating the new business to different quarters, but no immediate plans to this have been made.
The Computer Wizard provides PC service and support for all versions of Windows, networks of all sizes and Virus and Spyware removal. Celebrating their 12th year in business this month, Warren Harris, owner and founder of The Computer Wizard feels it is time to separate their Data Recovery and Forensics unit into a separate enterprise.
Since Computer Forensics requires special licensing and is more time-consuming that some of the other day-to-day processes involved in general computer maintenance, Mr. Harris feels re-defining the technical business model will better serve his customers.
The Computer Wizard and DFW Computer Investigations are located at 3131 Custer Road, Ste 175 in Plano. The phone number is 469.387.4101.
